The guide will take you into the tram, going for sightseeing around the area for about one hour and a half. This night tour consists of two zones. Starting from the first zone, Savanna Safari, you can closely watch and touch some animals here, for instances, zebras, giraffes.

Then the tour will bring you into the second zone, Predator Prowl, which is, of course, the zone of dangerous animals like tigers and lions. Therefore during the tour of this zone, you have to be extra careful.

The Chiangmai night safari tour is available from 18:30 to 22:00. You can catch the tram every 30 minutes. The rounds are available in both Thai and English.

Beside of this, there are also exciting shows here, for instances, ‘Hunters of Night’, which performs the lifestyles of some wild aminals, or ‘Safari Dancing’, which is performed by cabaret groups everyday, four times per day.

How to get there

The zoo is located at 33 Area 12 ,Nongkwai District, Hangdong County, Chiang Mai Province. There are various ways for tourists to travel there.

• If you have enough budget and know the route, you may rent a car or motorcycle then drive it directly to Chiangmai Night Safari. If you’re in the downtown of Chiangmai, just drive along Huaikaew Road, then turn left into The National Highway No.121 before heading about 10 kilometres to Hangdong County. After that, turn right and drive along the road for about 2 kilometres. Finally, you will find Chiangmai Night Safari.
• Find any “Red Truck”. Red Truck is the famous vehicle in Chiangmai. Most tourists travel by it. You can grab Red Truck and tell the driver that you want to go to Chiangmai Night Safari. This may be the most convenient way, also, the cheapest way.
• Chiangmai Night Safari also has free shuttle bus service for tourists. The pick-up spot is located at the opposite side of Night Bazar Tourism Police Booth. But there is only one time round per day. Each round is available for only 10 tourist, can’t be more than that.
• Join in tour : A minibus tour will cost around 800-1,000 baht with an English-speaking guide.
