This place of 340.21 square kilometres is located in National Preserved Forest of Pa Nam Pad, Muang Ched Ton District, Na Khum District, Ban Khoke District, Ban Khoke County, Huai Mhun County, Nam Pad County, Uttaradit Province, Bo Pak District and Charttrakan County, Phisanulok Province.
Phu Soi Dao National Park is very large. It’s about 340.21 square kilometres. Various types of forests can be found there, same as high mountains.
The forests there consist of pine forest, montane forest, mixed forest, semi-evergreen forest and deciduous dipterocarp forest. Animals of small sizes and medium sizes inhabited in these forests.
For mountains, they are mostly over 1,200 metres above the sea level. However, the highest peak is Phi Soi Dao’s, which is 2,102 metres.
You don’t have to worry about the weather. The weather there is perfect. In fact, it’s cool all year round. Sounds great, eh? You won’t get wet because of your sweat. Instead, you will inhale the cool breeze into your lungs. The highest temperature there is 35 degree Celcius. The lowest temperature is 13 degree Celcius. You should travel during November to February, as it’s the cold season. Avoid the rainy season, which starts from May to October.
The important thing is, you should set up a camp with your family. Just stay there for a few days. There are many things for you guys to do.
There are lots of camping grounds. Just choose your best spot and set up your tent. For your information, there are camping equipments for rental, in case you forget to bring something. Each piece cause 30 Baht per night.
Sleeping in a national park will relax your stressful mind. You should get up early to see the romantic sunrise and cook something to eat for breakfast.
After finishing your breakfast, perhaps you want to stimulate your digestion system by getting to the top of Phu Soi Dao, the one that is 2,102 metres high. The atmosphere there is extremely perfect. It’s not only that. You should also visit Phu Soi Dao Pinus Kesiya Field And Flower Field In Pine Forest. At these two spots, you will take a lot of glamorous photos for your IG and Facebook. No need to hurry. Just give yourself some time to inhale the sweet air up there. Have a leisure sightseeing.
Then, you probably want to visit Phu Soai Dao Waterfall or Sai Thip Waterfall. You’re suggested to have a lunch at any of these waterfalls. Phu Soi Dao Waterfall has 5 levels of itself. Sai Thip Waterfall has 7 levels. Imagine your self sitting on the shore and chewing a piece of soft grilled meat. Won’t that be nice?
You have to remember that there aren’t restaurants at Phu Soi Dao National Park. You have to cook your own food. Just consider that as a new experience, cooking and eating in the middle of forests. That’s fun!

How To Get There
Start your trip in Phisanulok. Follow the Highway 11. Then switch to the Highway 1246. Reach for Ban Pae Yaek. After that, just access the Highway 1143 to pass Chattrakarn County. Next, follow the Highway 1327. You will pass Ban Bo Rak. Not so long after that, you will follow the Highway 1268 and reach Phu Soi Dao Waterfall.
Or, if you’re already in Uttaradit Province, follow the Highway 1047. Reach for Nam Pad County and follow the Highway 1239. Continue straight for about 18 kilometres. You will reach your destination soon.
The last way is to book a bus ticket that takes you from Bangkok to Phisunolok or to Chattrakarn County. In case you’re already in Chattrakarn County, just hail a two-row seat truck.
