You can get your kids and your parents to ride bikes around the lake with you. There is a park. You can just ride around the park. Safe and fun. Feel the light wind. Or, if you can’t ride a bike, you can just take a walk or go jogging instead. Seriously, the park at Kwan Phayao is perfect for doing exercise.
After exercise, you guys may get into the restaurant to eat something and full-fill your energy.
However, there is something that you may not know about the lake. The thing is, there is a temple in the middle of the lake! The temple is Wat Ti Lok Aram. This is where you can go and pay respect to Luang Pho Sila statue. All you have to do is hire a boat for just 20 Baht and then you will be given a ride to the temple.
The statue is over 500 years old. It was found in 1983 in this temple, which was under the water at the time. Nowadays, most parts of the temple are still under the lake. The only things that stay over the water surface are the statue and the brick lot.
Most tourists love to pay respect to the statue. There is also ‘Wian Tian’ in the middle of the lake during Makha Bucha Day, Wisaka Bucha Day, and Asalaha Bucha Day. You should join this too.
