Well, you may include this place as a part of your honeymoon program. The whole area is large. It’s approximately 518.0 square kilometres. Klong Tron National Park and ‘Ton Sak Yai National Park’ are the exact same one. All natural resources are perfect for your honeymoon for sure.
For your information, the national park was established from Klong Tron Preserved Forest. In 1989, an officer of forestry department explore the left and right side of the forest. As everything was plentiful, the areas were turn into ‘Klong Tron National Park’.
However, the forests within the area don’t just consist Klong Tron Preserved Forest, but also Nam Pad Forest and Pak Huai Chalong Forest. There are 3 types of forests, consisting of montane forests, pine forests, semi-evergreen forests, and deciduous dipterocarp forests. You will want to explore these forests. On your way, you may see small and large animals.
Then walk along all important mountains: Khao Phu Miang, Phao Kwam Rua, Khao Ngai Rua, Khao Sam Liam, Khao Yuak, Khao Tha Non, Khao Dad, Khao Mai Pha, Khao Tak Bon, Khao Nam Yoi, Khao Phak Khuang and Khao Chan. For better experience, go to the top of Phu Miang, the highest one. The scenery will be stunning.
After finishing admiring these, it’s time for you and your love to visit Klong Tron Waterfall, the highlight of the national park. The waterfall originates from Huai Klong Tron. It consists of two minor locations. The first one has 4 levels and the second one is 30 metres high. These two are only 1.5 kilometre away from each other. You can visit both of them and have a lovely picnic on the shore.
Next, you should get to Tham Chan Cave, which is also an interesting part of the national park. The cave is located in front of the right side of Klong Tron Preserved Forest. It’s 200 metres deep and 15 metres wide. Grab your flashlight and get inside. You will see lots of stalactites.
How to get there
Arrive at Uttaradit first. Then follow the Highway 1045. Keep going for about 68 kilometres. After reaching Nam Pad County, follow the Highway 1212(Huai Dua-Ban Pia). Then, when you see Ban Ton Khanoon, you will reach the Klong Tron national park in a hot second.
